TOKYO - Seven Japanese climbers are beginning a hunt for the abominable snowman.
The climbers will spend six weeks in Nepal trying to capture images of the
legendary humanlike creature.
The team has 15 sensor-activated cameras they'll set up in an area where
climbers have reported seeing large human-like footprints.
An amateur scientists who's leading the group says he's certain the creature
exists. He says he has seen the footprints on previous climbs and they don't
belong to a bear. He believes it's some kind of primate.
The crew is made up of other climbers who have seen the footprints.
The expedition leaves Sunday.
